Thank you, Australia! 

The Filipinos' celebration of gratitude on Australia Day.

As Filipino migrants we reflect on our reasons for crossing oceans to places such as Australia, either out of choice or out of necessity. From the early waves of migration of Filipinos working in Queensland’s pearling industry to the recent waves of migration, we have embraced the many opportunities presented in front of us.  We now have lived experiences to share among the many other countries who made Australia their home.

Whilst NO WORDS can express the gratitude we feel to the Australian people for welcoming us with open arms and with their hearts, celebrating Australia Day is a befitting day for us to shout with our hearts SALAMAT PO! Australia (Thank you, Australia).
